It seems fortuitous that on the same day a ‘bomb cyclone’ descended on Denver, I found an Allbirds Copywriter listing in a city with just ten measurable snow accumulations since 1852. While the recent snow-nado prompted my search, I have been drawn to the untethered creativity and genuineness of the Allbirds brand since I purchased my first pair of Wool Runners in 2016.
I’ve never considered myself a hat person, but since graduating from the University of Colorado with a degree in Creative Writing, I have worn many hats. I am currently the Head of Content and Copywriting for an emerging consumer packaged good called Scottish Kings. Scottish Kings is a small-batch gin, founded in Boulder, Colorado, and distilled on a farm in the Highlands of Scotland. For two years, I have been solely responsible for creating a consistent brand identity and writing compelling copy for the website, promotional materials, email campaigns, and packaging.
Prior to my work at Scottish Kings, I founded a profitable vintage clothing company called Bangarang. I travelled to 44 states to source valuable vintage garments, and my commitment to sustainable fashion, branding, and copywriting garnered over 20,000 website hits and highly profitable margins. My interest in sustainable sourcing took me around the country, and also led me to the Allbirds Careers Page. I appreciate the intentionality behind the Allbirds mission and vision, in particular the ethical sourcing of wool and recycled materials.
It seems that Allbirds does not just value experience, but also seeks honest, passionate and good people who can adapt and brighten a workplace. I feel a connection to Allbirds’ company values and vision, and it would be a privilege to work alongside other passionate creatives. I have worn many hats for many years now, but I think it’s time I give shoes a try.
I am eager for the opportunity to create and pour into a growing company like Allbirds. I look forward to speaking about this opportunity at your convenience.
Sincerely,
